The Discretionary Fund allows the trustees to allocate income to where

it is most needed from time to time, allowing rapid responses to urgent needs as they arise (think Port Hills fires, earthquakes, the mosque attack, and the pandemic). 

 

This fund is also used to add further support to existing initiatives, and enables Kura Tāwhiti – Canterbury Community Foundation to undertake this mahi sustainably.
