Anake Goodall

Co-Chair

Anake is particularly interested in regenerative community initiatives that contribute to the more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible. Anake is or has been involved with Seed the Change | He Kākano Hāpai, Terra Nova Foundation, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, New Zealand Drug Foundation | Te Puna Whakaiti Pāmamae Kai Whakapiri, Meridian Energy,  Ākina Foundation, and University of Canterbury’s Ngāi Tahu Research Centre. Anake is a proud resident of the Selwyn district.

Colin Mansbridge

Co-Chair

Colin is a seasoned senior executive with experience spanning finance, sport, and the not-for-profit sector. As Chief Executive of the Crusaders, he has led one of New Zealand’s most iconic sporting franchises through a period of remarkable on-field success. He was previously Head of Agribusiness at BNZ, and is a Trustee of the Child Cancer Foundation and the Crusade with Heart Foundation. He is driven to help organisations like the Crusaders and Kura Tāwhiti Foundation build a more inclusive, thriving community.

Annabel Holland

Deputy Chair

Through connecting people and encouraging philanthropy, Annabel believes Kura Tāwhiti – Canterbury Community Foundation provides a key platform from which people’s generosity can strengthen and benefit our unique city and environment. Her interests and career have spanned architecture, biomedical policy, the arts and sport. Annabel was formerly Chair of New Zealand Opera.

Pauline Cotter

Pauline has been a City Councillor elect since 2013, representing the Innes ward, and was Deputy Mayor from 2022-2025. She has a strong environmental and community wellbeing focus and has over the years chaired the 3 Waters and Environment Committee, the post-quake Land Drainage Recovery working group, The Christchurch Agency for Energy, and been a member of the Te Waihora Co- Governance Committee, the Christchurch West Melton Zone committee for water, and the Canterbury Museum Trust Board.

David Tikao

David counts it as a privilege to serve on the Kura Tāwhiti Board; he sees this as an opportunity to seed the benefits for Ōtautahi Christchurch communities, for future good. In his working life, David has held senior positions at Ngāi Tahu Holdings; Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu retirement savings scheme Whai Rawa Fund Limited; RBS/NatWest Bank; and HSBC Bank. David is involved with Te Hapū o Ngāti Wheke, Rāpaki Marae, Toitū Tahua: Centre for Sustainable Finance and the Ministry for the Environment.

Jonny Love

 

Jonny is an entrepreneur and media professional who is passionate about content creation, sponsorship, broadcasting, and online media. He is the Founder of ASN Media, working with an international client base to produce industry-specific content in partnerships with leading associations and peak bodies. Jonny believes in the power of Community Foundations to change the face of philanthropy and is proud to be involved with such a future-focused charity.

Lucy-Mary Mulholland

 

Lucy-Mary has worked on the front line of numerous community development initiatives in Aotearoa, managing youth-led festivals, community centres and neighbourhood building projects, as a child therapist in schools, as a designer of placemaking activations, and as a facilitator for community and environmental organisations in strategy development. She considers it a privilege to be joining the board of this essential contributor to the future of Ōtautahi.

Mariann Matai

Board Advisor

Throughout her 25 years in the IT sector, Mariann founded and was the director of a number of successful start-ups before joining Catalyst IT. Mariann served on the board of the Christchurch Collective for the Homeless and is on the board of the Canterbury Tech Cluster. Mariann is an advocate for Planet Earth and all creatures living on it. She's passionate about restoring the balance of our ecosystems in Canterbury and beyond for current and future generations to enjoy.

Chris Selbie

Institute of Directors Emerging Director

Chris is a senior executive with over 20 years’ experience leading human resources, communications, and health and safety functions for large New Zealand companies. He is on the board of Epilepsy New Zealand. Through his Emerging Director Award, Chris is excited to be involved with a philanthropic organisation that exists to support the long-term future and aspirations of the Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri communities.

Tania Anderson

 

Tania is a systems designer, evaluator, and governance professional focused on social innovation and outcomes. She specialises in designing and supporting change in highly complex social systems, including mental health, addictions and disability support. As a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand, her knowledge spans lived experience leadership, collaborative system design, and developmental evaluation and education to help organisations create real, lasting change in their communities.

Lynne Umbers

Chief Executive

Lynne is passionate about the power of collective action for good and the opportunity to grow generosity through Community Foundations. She has worked and volunteered in the For-Purpose sector in Australia and New Zealand for over 20 years and has completed a Master of Social Investment and Philanthropy. Lynne has previously held roles with Philanthropy Australia, Philanthropy New Zealand, the Pay What it Takes Coalition and Good2Give.
